“Western Steampunk” Photography Workshop

A Western Steampunk photography workshop will take you back in time. The Steampunk genre focuses on capturing the essence of the Steampunk subculture through the lens of a camera.

Steampunk is a genre that combines elements of science fiction, fantasy, and the aesthetics of the 19th-century industrial era. This workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to explore and photograph the unique and imaginative world of Steampunk.

The workshop will feature models in elaborate Steampunk costumes, providing participants with unique and visually stunning subjects for their photography. This workshop will be set in and around our own Victorian-era building, with its many architectural features enhanced by industrial staging , lighting and other elements from the era.

What you can expect to experience Costumes , Characters , Lighting , Smoke and props reminiscent of the industrial age.

 

About Julie Powell 

Julie Powell spent years studying the Masters, lighting, staging and styling, pouring over so many beautiful images online and in magazines. Eventually it all started to come together. People started asking her to show them how she created her beautiful photos so she started running small classes and workshops out of her home studio. These quickly lead into larger classes offering more and varied subjects. Julie has won many awards and she is highly sort after as an educator and trainer.

Whether an absolute beginner or more advanced photographer, Julie will show you that with the right support and guidance, the required skills and knowledge can be gained that will enable you too create images like you see online and in magazines by building your confidence and your skills to take your photographic achievements to the next level.

This workshop will have a maximum limit of 12 participants, and based on demand we may consider running a second workshop.

 These workshop is open to all MCC members and Non Members and will be held at MCC clubrooms.

NON MCC MEMBER FEE $288.40 (EXCLUDING PAYPAL FEE $8.40)
