Welcome to the final week of this year’s events at MCC!

All members are warmly invited to attend the End of Year Awards and Social Event to be held this Thursday 12 December, starting at 8pm. The entries have been judged so come along to see the winning images for the Print and PDI awards.

Award presentations will be followed by our End of Year Social event.
There will be no Zoom for this event.
The Social is a self-catering event, so we ask you to please bring a plate of nibbles to share, and/or drinks, this will be held in the studio downstairs.
So come along, bring your partner, family and friends, and help celebrate our club and another great year of photography fun!

Note: if you entered the EOY Print Competition, don’t forget to bring your satchel / bag to take your prints home at the end of the evening.

If you have not yet completed the Members Survey, please kindly do so before 18 December, refer link in the story below. The results will greatly help with planning for next year.

Members Feedback / Survey

As part of the Board’s planning for the year ahead, we would like to invite all members to participate in a short survey so we can understand more about what members are interested in learning, and contributing to the club. All responses are anonymous.

The survey will close on Wednesday 18 December.

Clubrooms Facelift

As mentioned in the newsletter recently, works will commence next week to give the Gallery a ‘facelift’ which will include a fresh coat of paint, new print display boards and new carpets. The office, stairwell, and upstairs kitchen areas will also be repainted and carpeted as part of the project.

These renovations will take place over the summer break starting next week. Accordingly the Studio will not be available for any bookings from 13 December to 31 January.

Assistance Required: Packing & moving items before gallery painting commences

Colin Booth is looking for volunteers to help pack and move items from the gallery and office prior to the painters commencing in mid-December.

If you can assist for some of all the times below, please contact Colin to let him know your availability:

Print Pickup!

If you have any prints at the clubrooms from this year’s Competitions or Exhibitions, please kindly collect from the office this Thursday 12 December.

There are a large number of prints that have not been collected during this year and there will be no storage space due to the upcoming renovations.

MCC Members are invited to join the Board to welcome everyone back to the Clubrooms for our annual BBQ on the first Thursday in February. Further details to follow in the new year.

Following the BBQ please join us at 8pm in the Gallery for the guest speaker presentation.
