It was another successful evening last Thursday at the End of Year Awards, celebrating the success of the winners, Promotions and Photographers of the Year in B Grade and A Grade, and some stunning photography, followed by the End of Year Social Event.

Congratulations to our two Photographers of the Year for 2023!

• B Grade Photographer of the Year, Rueben Glass Trophy: Alison Crea
• A Grade Photographer of the Year: Ralph Domino

Many thanks to the Competition Committee for their tireless work organising the competition, exhibition, and awards evening. And special thanks to the judges for their work: Christopher Ian, Mandarine Montgomery and Forough Yavari.

The Queenie Gatt Trophy is a perpetual trophy that was awarded by the Late Charles Gatt in memory of his late mother Queenie Gatt. It is to honour MCC Members for their non-photographic work in support of the Club.

We have received many nominations for this award and as such the Board is awarding this award equally to 2 members who have contributed their efforts for non-photographic work in support of the club:

• Renee Sterling
• Colin Booth

Thank you to all our entries in this year’s End of Year Competition Exhibition which was held over the weekend of 2-3 December.

And thanks for everyone who voted in the People’s Choice Print Award… the image with the most votes was: The Fires by Ruth Woodrow.

Thursday 1 February 2024, 6.30pm

MCC Members are invited to join the Board to welcome everyone back to the Clubrooms for our annual BBQ on the first Thursday in February. Further details will follow in the new year.  

Following the BBQ will be promotion presentations by Members who were promoted from B Grade to A Grade at the End of Year Awards. Please join us after the BBQ, at 8pm in the Gallery.

Several MCC Members are exhibiting images in this year’s Linden Postcard Show.
