The 134th Annual General Meeting of the members of the Melbourne Camera Club was held in the Clubrooms and on Zoom on 3 October 2024.

An election was held online through members’ MCC login for 4 positions. The results of the election were:

• Vitas Anderson – 81 votes – Elected
• Mark Devaraj – 77 votes – Elected
• Colin Booth – 89 votes – Elected
• Robin Tully – 99 votes – Elected
• Gary Richardson – 58 votes – Not elected

The new Board for 2024/2025 is:

• President: Lesley Bretherton 
• Honorary Secretary: Sally Paterson 
• Honorary Treasurer: David Sherwood 
• Elected members: Kaye Linsdell, Megan Smith, Vitas Anderson, Mark Devaraj, Colin Booth, Robin Tully

Club Subscriptions

As recommended by the Board the motion to keep current subscription rates unchanged for FY 2025 was unanimously passed.

“Interesting Times” showcases a wide range of artistic perspectives through conceptual photography.

Celebrate the thought-provoking work of the Club’s Conceptual Photography Group.

If you have any prints at the clubrooms from this year’s Competitions or Exhibitions, please kindly collect from the office before 31 October, so the plastic tubs can be used for the EOY Competition prints.

There are a large number of prints that have not been collected over recent months, please come along prior to 8pm on a Thursday night in October, and collect from the office.

• Digital images of all entries (Print and PDI) to be submitted to the entry portal by Wednesday 30th October.
• Print entries to be submitted to the club 7-8pm Thursday 31st October (or by arrangement before that date).

The organisers of the Albert Park College Art Show have invited MCC members to submit entries for this year’s event.

‘For over a decade, the APC Art Show has showcased professional, emerging and student artwork from around Australia right here in the City of Port Phillip. As a local creative arts organisation, we wish to encourage your community to submit entries.

The APC Art Show awards a range of prizes for excellence across all mediums for both professional, emerging and student artists.The prize pool consists of seven individual awards at a total value of over $5,000. One outstanding entry will be awarded $2,000 and will become part of the Albert Park College Collection.’
