All Members are very welcome to attend this week’s special Nature Group guest speaker presentation at the Clubrooms on Wednesday 23 August, 8.00pm.

The next gathering of the Nature Group will be a meeting at the Club when Dr Franciscus Scheelings will present on his photographic journey. Many of you will have seen him speak at the opening of our Nature Exhibition earlier this year and the general concensus was, ‘when can we hear more from Franciscus and see more of his fantastic images?’

Celebrating MCC Members – International Portrait Awards

The International Portrait Awards are truly international with entrants coming from around the globe. The top 101 entries will be published in the book of the awards.

Printing Offer for MCC Members

Photography Studies College (PSC) are offering MCC members 20% discount on for all Fine Art Papers – Ilford, Canson, and Hahnemuhle papers.

‘Proofing/Testing’ paper will not be discounted as it inexpensivep RC (Resin coated) paper for testing or cheap and cheerful family album prints.

PSC’s Digital Centre Production Manager is happy to work with MCC members to choose the appropriate paper for a particular image.

Interclub Portrait Competition – Entries Open!

This year, MCC is coordinating the Interclub Portrait Competition previously managed by Camberwell Camera Club. The participating clubs this year will be Williamstown, Camberwell, Caulfield, Eastern Suburbs, Warragul and Melbourne.

We invite all members to consider entering their best portrait photos for consideration as part of our club entry. There are 3 sections:

Single person portrait
Two or more people
Creative portraiture – Polyptychs (diptychs, triptychs, etc) are permitted in this category only.

Image Size

JPEG images of up to 3840×2160 and 5MB.

Entries are open now and close on 30 September 2023

Panorama.

Results for the Print Competition held on 10 August are available in the Gallery on the website.
PDI Competition will be held via Zoom only, on Thursday 24 August
Entries closed on Wednesday 9 August
