These amazing images of ballet dancers are from club member Erik Sawaya who specialises in this area of photography. Erik has kindly offered to run a number of workshops aimed at introducing club members to this sort of photography. The first round of workshops has already been filled, but keep your eyes on this newsletter and your email for when another set of workshops opens up.

TRIERENBERG Acceptances

The full list of those club members whose work was accepted for the Trierenberg Super Circuit and Special Themes Circuit is now available on the web.

APG Field Trip – Sat 29th May 2pm to 4 pm
Newport Railway Museum

The Analogue Group will be having a field trip to the The Newport Railway museum this coming Saturday. All members are welcome to join us. You must book with the museum. Full details are on our monthly activities page.

Nature Photography Exhibition

If you haven’t already been, please consider getting along to the Melbourne Camera Club’s nature photography exhibition which will be open next weekend, 29 and 30 May, from 10am to 4pm.. The exhibition showcases the best of our members’ nature work along with works from some special invited guests. Please support the exhibition by also promoting to friends and families. Grace Lock Group May 28 @ 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Join us for dinner at the Railway Hotel, cnr Bank and Ferrars Streets at 6.00, or MCC clubrooms from 7.30pm. The focus of this meet is to build on our discussions of the previous meeting bringing photos to share, discus and receive feedback. There is also the opportunity to ask those questions you have that have been unanswered. We are only a small group. New participants are most welcome. Grace Lock Group – Photo Walk and Astro Workshop

Advance notice: on Sunday June 12 the Grace Lock Group will be joining the MCC Photowalk Community around Little River. After the walk and dinner we’ll be running a Nightscape and Astrophotography workshop – if interested please register your details with the Grace Lock Group at gracelockgroup@melbournecameraclub.org.au or with the Photowalk Community at photowalks@melbournecameraclub.org.au. For the Nightscape and Astro workshop you’ll need a tripod and a wide-angle lens. If the weather is unsuitable we’ll have an alternative plan. Please keep your eye open for more details in the What’s On section of the website or this newsletter.
