Judging and Audience voting is complete and the results are as follows:

Club Results

• First Place: Johannesburg Camera Club with 1013 points
• Second Place: Melbourne Camera club with 996 points 
• Third Place:  Beacon Camera Club 978 points 

MCC Individual Results 

Congratulations to Kyffin Lewis for achieving the ‘Best in Show’ award for Pied Herons.

Kyffin’s image also received two judges 1st awards and 2 audience awards: Third place (from Beacon CC) and Second place (Johannesburg CC).

Other MCC member awards were:

• Sally Paterson: Blackberries (2nd Beacon Audience award)
• Andrew Costigan: Lunch Break (3rd Equal Beacon Audience award)
• Gary Richardson: Colours of Broome (3rd Beacon Judge award)
• Juerg von Kaenal: Blood Moon (3rd Johannesburg Judge award) 

Congratulations to all participants for entering this inaugural international competition. 

MCC will be entering a club entry in the annual APS Australian Cup.

Please submit your entries as early as possible – there were some great images in last years Monthly and End of Year competitions, which would be suitable for this exhibition.

The theme this year is THIS IS AUSTRALIA

Any image that shows a flavour of life in Australia including landscapes, people, events and places including architecture, birds and animals.

The MCC entry portal is now open for submission of your images, and all the information you need is on the MCC Club Competitions page.

We are looking forward to seeing your entries (up to 3 images are allowed) which must be submitted on or before the 19th May 2024.

Do you hold First Aid certification or medical qualifications? We’d like to note your skills by adding an icon to your nametag in case of any medical emergencies at the clubrooms.

If you’re certified in First Aid or possess medical qualifications, please let us know. Kindly reach out to our Secretary with your certification information.

Calling artists who work with photography! The Museum of Australian Photography (MAPh) welcomes submissions from artists at all stages of their career to enter one the richest photography prizes in Australia.

The winning work will receive $30 000 and be acquired into MAPh’s significant collection; the $10 000 Wai Tang Commissioning Award includes an exhibition in the next Bowness Photography Prize season; the Camera House People’s Choice Award is valued at $5000 (50-50 cash and in-kind).

Entries close 13 June 2024.
