• MCC Maintenance Committee: Colin Booth and Kees Zonneveld are looking for Members who can volunteer their time to undertake minor maintenance tasks around the Clubrooms. If you are able to assist please contact: Colin.Booth@melbournecameraclub.org.au

• Scanning of documents: Thank you to those who have volunteered their time to scan historic club documents. As we do have more documents to scan, we are looking for more volunteers to make the task manageable. Entries are now being accepted for the 21st VIGEX International Photographic Print Salon 2022. VIGEX is an approved exhibition (competition) with FAIP, PSA and APS.

This workshop covers the Library and Develop Modules.

Format: 1-day workshop where participants will follow along with an instructor using LR on their laptop. Workshop is limited to 20 participants. The objective is to introduce Lightroom Classic to photographers who have never used Lightroom to process images before.

This workshop has been developed by MCC in response to members indicating via survey that they would be interested in learning more about Lightroom.

This course is ideally suited to inexperienced photographers or any photographers who wish to develop or revise basic skills in digital photography. You may be moving from a phone camera or point and shoot camera to something more advanced like a digital SLR or mirrorless camera, or simply wish to get more out of your photography.

The Introduction to Photography Course consists of five lessons and three workshops, held over a 5-week period. The lessons are held at the MCC Clubrooms on Tuesday evenings, 7:30pm-9:30pm. Practical workshops are held on Sunday mornings from 9:30am until early afternoon.

Entries are open to all photographers – including professionals, students and amateurs. 

Entries are open (print and digital), submissions close August 21st, 2022 and the competition will be judged in Melbourne in September.
