Join us for an inspiring live lighting demonstration session with Isamu Sawa, one of Australia’s leading commercial and fine art photographers, as he shares his personal studio techniques and creative approach to still life photography.

This masterclass is designed to provide Melbourne Camera Club members with unique, behind-the-scenes insight into how Isamu creates still-life imagery that resonates – whether for fine art or commercial use. From lighting hacks to composition techniques, you’ll come away with tools you can apply to your own studio work.

The APG 25th Annual Exhibition is an analogue photography milestone.

The chance see to exhibits in Australia’s longest running analogue photography exhibition at Australia’s oldest camera club.

There are 32 analogue photography exhibitors and 102 prints.

Tony is a Grand Master and Honorary Fellow of the AIPP, a Fellow of NZIPP, and the recipient of over 400 national and international photography awards. His body of work spans fine art, aerial, portrait, and abstract landscapes – all infused with emotion, craftsmanship, and conceptual depth.

The Ballarat International Foto Biennale is well worth a visit to explore the huge number of exhibitions around the town of Ballarat, including some MCC members exhibitions, details below. 

The BIFB was founded in 2005 and attracts significant International and Australian photographers as one of Australia’s pre-eminent photographic festivals. Held every two years it showcases work from domestic and international artists that is new, previously unseen in Australia or contextualised afresh; the Open Program fosters the development of new artists.

• The Nature definition applies to all categories

You may submit up to four images in each category. Acceptances and awards may be applied towards APS Honours requirements. Entry is $10 for APS members, and $30 for non-APS members.

The Photographic Society of Queensland is proud to announce the Queensland International Circuit 2025. This is an International comp with Recognition from the Australian Photographic Society (APS), the Photographic Society of America (PSA), and the Federation Internationale de l’Art Photographique (FIAP).

There are three Salons: Capricornia, Diamantina and West Moreton.

There are four subjects: Open Colour, Open Mono, Creative (colour) and Lines (Mono).

Your four entries in each subject multiplies to 48 possible awards and acceptances.

The comp is open now, and it closes on 26 October, so the time to start your entry preparation is right now.
