The Melbourne Camera Club’s celebration of, and contribution to the 2019 Seniors Festival
Terms and Conditions
The exhibition is open to all members of the Melbourne Camera Club, irrespective of whether or not they are a senior.
The Exhibition is the Club’s contribution to the Seniors Festival, and as the theme implies – Life is there to enjoy, and there is no better way to do so than being out there taking photographs and being involved.

How to Enter
- Complete registration on the Online Entry Form by midnight Monday 7 October 2019. *Please login to access the entry form
- Drop off your work/s to MCC on Thursday 10 October, 6.30pm – 8.00pm. Each work must be ready for installation.
- Work must be labelled on the reverse with your name, work/s title, and your contact details. Every endeavour will be made to hang all work submitted.
- Collect your works on the specified date after the exhibition from MCC: Thursday 31 October, 6.30pm – 8.00pm (or by prior arrangement with Exhibition Coordinators)
Entries
- The theme for the exhibition is “Let’s Love Life”
- Although the exhibition is the MCC’s contribution to the Seniors Festival, we expect visitors of all ages to attend the photography exhibition. The exhibition will be listed in the City of Port Philip Seniors Festival activities.
- The number of entries is limited to a maximum of 3 prints per person.
- Prints are to be unframed, and matted, suitable for display in the Gallery.
- Works must not exceed 400mm x 500mm (this includes mats).
- Preferred mat colour: white or off-white.
- Once the entry form has been submitted it will not be possible to change titles.
- This is a free exhibition. There is no entry fee.
- Entrants are invited to submit 1MB JPEG of their works to be used for the promotion of the Exhibition on the Melbourne Camera Club Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and MCC Website via email to exhibitions@melbournecameraclub.org.au
- Please also note that the Melbourne Camera Club may or may not use your image for promotion purposes.
- All work submitted must be available for display across all dates of the exhibition.
- Work submitted will not be for sale as there are no retail facilities available in the gallery.
- We have an all care, no responsibility policy. With such a large number of works to install, although we take all care, we cannot take responsibility for damage made to work submitted to the exhibition.
Dropping off Works
- Works must arrive at MCC on Thursday 10 October between 6.30pm to 8pm.
- Dropping off work before Thursday 10 October is only by prior arrangement with the Exhibition Coordinators.
- Please clearly label all work on the back with artist’s name, contact details and title of the work.
Collecting Works
- Works are to be collected on Thursday 31 October from 6.30pm to 8pm or by prior arrangement.
People’s Choice
- There will be a prize for a People’s Choice award for the 2019 “Let’s Live Life” Photography Exhibition.
- The Artist’s work with the most votes will be awarded the winner of the People’s Choice award.
- Every person who visits the exhibition is entitled to one vote. Multiple votes per person will not be valid. Only valid votes will be counted.
- People’s Choice Prize winner will be announced on social media, on the next business day after the final day of the exhibition.
Further Conditions
- The Melbourne Camera Club Exhibition Coordinators reserves the right to make selections for the Exhibition that may be determined by available space.
- All entries will be displayed (subject to space) unless deemed offensive, too fragile, dangerous or not ready for installation.
- Insurance is the sole responsibility of the entrant.
- All care will be taken; however, Melbourne Camera Club will not be responsible for any loss or damage caused to the work, however caused.
