Join us for our March photowalk, we will be visiting the Moomba activities on the Yarra, followed by early dinner/drinks then fireworks (optional). The fireworks is scheduled for 9.30pm (it will run for 5-10 minutes, we will setup around 8.30pm).
We will meet outside Hamer Hall then start with a walk along the Yarra and Alexandra Gardens area, along Swan St bridge, and returning to Fed Square past the water skiing and carnival area.
We welcome all photographers – bring along your favourite camera: digital, film, phone, Polaroid etc.
All visitors, friends and members of the Melbourne Camera Club are welcome.
Casual drinks/dinner will be at a city pub, followed by fireworks from Birrarung Marr.
What to bring:
• Tripod for fireworks
• Spare battery as long exposures can drain batteries quickly
• Warm clothing as we will be waiting around for the fireworks
Date: Sunday 8 March Time: 3.15pm for 3.30pm start
Meeting location: Outside Hamer Hall, Arts Centre, 100 St Kilda Rd – across the bridge from Flinders St Station
Parking: Fed Square car park: $16.00 flat rate for weekend
Public transport is recommended, as the city will be busy with the Moomba festival, International Women’s Day activities, and cricket at the MCG Duration: 5-6 hours, including dinner and fireworks
