Mid-Week Outing – Tuesday 17th October 2023
The Mid-Week Outing for the third Tuesday in October will be to Chesterfield Farm, an historical farm in Scoresby, now operating as a tourist educational animal farm.
The farm has a range of activities from milking cows, watching a working dog show, feeding the deer, goats, camels and emu’s to tractor rides.
Chesterfield Farm is located at 1221 Ferntree Gully Road, Scoresby, just down the road from the Wheelers Hill Hotel, and before the Eastlink interchange.
We will meet for coffee at 10.30 am at the Chesterfield Farm Café.
Consider putting a folding chair in the boot of your car in case there is a shortage of seating for coffee.
And given that it is a working farm, consider wearing robust footwear. And if the weather is wet, bring a 2nd pair of shoes.
There is a Cow Milking Show at 11.30am for approx 20 mins
Lunch will be at the Wheelers Hill Hotel, corner of Jells Road and Ferntree Gully Road, about a 5-minute drive from the farm, at 12:30 pm.

Entry fee is $20, concession $18 and must be booked online. You can’t pay the entry fee at the farm.
We suggest that you book on the morning of the outing. There is no refund if you can’t attend.

If time permits, on the way to lunch, you could drop in at the Museum of Australian Photography (MAPh), 860 Ferntree Gully Rd – Wheelers Hill, which is just over the road from the Wheelers Hill Hotel.
Camberwell / Melbourne Camera Club members and friends of the group are very welcome.
