We are living in unusual and difficult times due to the social distancing measures introduced by the Government to stem the spread of COVID-19. These measures have caused much hardship and inconvenience to people and are likely to do so for a considerable time to come. The Board of Melbourne Camera Club is all too aware of the difficulties and inconveniences caused by the isolation measures and whilst we have done everything possible to keep Club activities going, there are obviously some things that haven’t been able to continue.
In light of the difficulties caused by social isolation, and in light of the hardships faced by our Members, the Board has decided, in this instance, to extend all current memberships by six months to attempt to offset some of these problems. That means that memberships that were due to expire at the end of December 2020 will now not be up for renewal until the end of June 2021.
We are hopeful our clubrooms and facilities will be able to reopen this year (in line with government guidelines), and members will be able to take full advantage of all that the Club has to offer.
If you have any questions regarding this or any other issues around the Club’s response to COVID-19, please don’t hesitate to contact the Board, by email to secretary@melbournecameraclub.org.au
