The George Glennie Memorial Nature Salon is run by the Merrimack Valley Camera Club in Massachusetts, USA. It is a club only salon, individuals are not eligible to enter. It is run under strict Photographic Society of America (PSA) Nature Photography rules. There are 8 categories – amphibians, birds, botany, invertebrates, landscape, mammals, marine and reptiles. A club may submit 10 images with a limit of 2 images per photographer. MCC submits only 1 image per photographer so that more members are represented.
This year, the Melbourne Camera Club was again awarded 1st place in the Diversity Award, and equal 6th overall. To be eligible for the Diversity Awards, a club needs to enter all 8 categories. Where a club has entered more than one image in a category, only the top scoring image in that category is used to calculate the club’s total for the Diversity Award. However, the scores for all 10 images are used to determine the overall ranking and awards.
MCC was represented by 10 photographers in the following categories:

All 10 images received enough points from the judges to be accepted and three photographers were awarded merits, namely Ruth Woodrow, Nicole Andrews and Kyffin Lewis.
Congratulations to all members whose images represented MCC in the 2021 Glennie Nature Salon and thanks also go to the many members who submitted nature images for consideration. The selection is always difficult, especially when choosing an image for each category. This results in many great images missing out on representing the club.
