Exhibition Terms & Conditions

1. IMPORTANT DATES

Sunday 26 June

  • Interested in exhibiting your Conceptual project, register your interest by completing online entry form by 11.59pmSunday 3 July 

Wednesday 20 July

  • Location for exhibiting works communicated (Refer to the building layout/map)  
  • Space allocations shared with exhibitors 3 months before installation to facilitate planning 

16 & 19 October

  • Clubrooms open for exhibiting members to install work
  • Works are installed by each exhibiting member 

Thursday 20 October 

  • Exhibition Opening at Clubrooms 
Exhibition Open to the Public
and Artist talks
 
  • Saturday and Sunday 22 & 23 October 2022 from 10.30am to 3pm 
  • Saturday and Sunday 29 & 30 October 2022 from 10.30am to 3pm

30 October

  • De-install by each Maker from 3.30pm 
2. HOW TO ENTER
  • Submit your EOI by Sunday 3 July 11.59pm – click here to complete your details
  • Please accept these terms and conditions and confirm you are the owner of the copyright for your work
  • Be available to install and deinstall your work on specified dates
3. ENTRIES
  • Work is not limited to prints, however we encourage lens based work. 
  • All submissions to be accompanied by an Artist Statement. 
  • Entries are not limited by number of images. Photographers can exhibit as many images as desired to support their idea/concept
  • All work submitted must be available for display across all dates of the exhibition being open to the public
  • Works deemed unsafe and/or hazardous will not be exhibited
  • The Coordinators do not take responsibility for damage made to work submitted to the exhibition 
  • Entrants are invited to submit a small JPEG’s of their work for the promotion of the Exhibition on the Melbourne Camera Club Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages via email to Conceptual Coordinators
  • Please also note that the Melbourne Camera Club may or may not use your image/s for promotion
4. INSTALLING WORKS
  • Each Photographer is responsible for installing their own work 
  • There are two dates available for install: Sunday 16 October and Wednesday 19 October 
5. COLLECTING WORKS
  • Each Artist is responsible for deinstalling their own work 
  •  Works can be collected on Sunday 30 October from 3.30pm 
6. FURTHER CONDITIONS
  • All work must adhere to the MCC Ethical Principles for Photography Images Policy – available in the policies section on the MCC website 
  • If you are photographing children, you must refer to protocols developed by the Australia Council (australiacouncil.gov.au) before entering your work
  • Insurance is the sole responsibility of the entrant.
  • All care will be taken however, the Melbourne Camera Club will not be responsible for any loss or damage caused to the work, however caused.
