Photowalk Community – Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne

Our February Photowalk will be held at the Australian Garden at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Cranbourne to capture the vibrant colours, Australian native plants and hopefully a few birds and insects.
Date: Sunday 5 February 2023
Time: 11am for 11.15am start
Meeting point: Visitor Centre at Main Entrance to Australian Garden, enter via cnr Ballarto Road and Botanic Drive, Cranbourne. Parking at the Australian Gardens entrance, off Philip Moors Drive – see map
Lunch: BYO lunch, chair. The gardens cafe will also be open for food and coffees etc.
Duration: 3-4 hours, including lunch break in the gardens
Driving time is approx 55 minutes from Melbourne CBD
The Australian Garden is an award-winning, contemporary botanic garden celebrating the beauty and diversity of Australian landscapes and flora and featuring over 100,000 plants from 1,900 plant varieties. Completed in October 2012, the Australian Garden was transformed from a sand mine and scrub to a botanic garden of international standing. Designed by Victorian landscape architects, T.C.L. the Australian Garden aims to show visitors the diversity, beauty and functionality of Australian native plants.
The Cranbourne Gardens bushland that surrounds Australia Garden and has over 450 indigenous plant species and includes over 10km of walking tracks, six kilometres of cycling tracks, a lookout tower, picturesque shelters, barbecues and playgrounds.
