Due to the current weather warnings for rain, thunderstorms and strong winds, we have decided to cancel the outing. The safety of our members is paramount.

Lerderderg Campground carpark (Upper Chadwick Track off O’Brien’s Rd)

We’ll follow easy, well-defined forest trails with gentle slopes—perfect for relaxed macro and nature photography. Expect spring wildflowers and native orchids in bloom, along with Eastern Yellow Robins, Superb Fairy-wrens, Grey Fantails, thornbills, pardalotes, and occasional raptors such as Brown Goshawks or Wedge-tailed Eagles. You may also spot wallabies, echidnas, and skinks basking on sunny logs.
Please bring sturdy shoes, lunch, plenty of water, and a folding chair
