“Nick Rains is a professional photographer specialising in travel and documentary work. During a career spanning over 35 years his photographs have been featured in publications such as Australian Geographic, Australian Photography Magazine, GEO, Sports Illustrated, Outback Magazine, Reader’s Digest and more. He has photographed a vast range of subjects, including sport, news, celebrities, commercial, industry, travel, wildlife, fashion and portraits. Nick is the author of 15 books, his most recent seven titles have been published by Hardie Grant.

He was named Australian Geographic magazine’s Photographer of the Year in 2001 and in 2014 was named Travel Photographer of the Year at the AIPP’s Australian Professional Photography Awards for his portfolio of Gold award prints.
