Each year, the Melbourne Camera Club runs two courses of its highly successful Introduction to Photography Course.
The Next Course will commence on Tuesday, 4th February 2025.

The Introduction to Photography Course course consists of five lessons and three workshops, held over a 5 week period. The lessons are held at the MCC Clubrooms on Tuesday evenings from 7:30pm until 9:30pm. Practical workshops are held on Sunday mornings from 9:30am until early afternoon.

COURSE COST
The course fee is shown below covering all lessons and workshops, course notes and 12 months membership of the Melbourne Camera Club – which entitles you to attend all club activities. You must provide your own camera and media.

WHO’S IT FOR?
This course is ideally suited to inexperienced photographers or any photographers who wish to develop or revise basic skills in digital photography. You may be moving from a camera phone or point and shoot camera to something more advanced like a digital SLR or mirrorless camera, or simply wish to get more out of your photography.
We help you:
- learn how to use the creative controls of your camera
- understand the impact of light on your photographs
- consider basic concepts of composition
- explore popular forms of photography, people, landscapes, nature, action and street.

Please note – once registered we do not provide refunds if you decide not to attend the course. However, we do allow you to send a substitute provided we receive notification before the start of the course.
