MCC will be entering a club entry in this year’s APS Australian Cup. The MCC Competition Committee are looking for 20 of MCC’s best images to represent our club in the annual APS Australian Cup.
Please submit your entries as early as possible – there have been some great images in this year’s and last year’s Monthly and End of Year competitions, which would be suitable for this competition.
We need your images uploaded by midnight Saturday 17 May, entries need to be submitted through the competition portal on the MCC website.

You can enter a maximum of three (3) images. A maximum of 2 images per member can be entered in the APS – final club entries will be selected by the MCC Competition Committee.

You can only enter with one club. If you enter with MCC, please don’t enter with another club.

Images entered in previous Australian Cup competitions will not be accepted.

Club members are NOT required to be APS members to enter.
2025 Topic: THIS IS AUSTRALIA, definition:
- Any image that shows a flavour of life in Australia including landscapes, people, events and places including architecture, birds and animals. Images may be taken in any of Australia’s territories.
- Any subject that is treated pictorially, embodying the elements of good design, arrangement or composition, which reflects the personal interpretation of the photographer. Images may be colour or black and white.
Rules
- Entries must be a single image as captured by the camera.
- Images must not be ‘composite images’ that combine subjects or elements from different scenes – replacing a background or sky, for example.
- HDR, focus stacking ect that has been performed in camera is permissible.
- Members may only enter with one club (coordinators must check that authors have only entered with one club). Club coordinators must advise their members if their image has been chosen for the club’s Australian Cup entry.
- Coherency between photos is not required.
- Images entered in previous Australian Cup competitions will not be accepted.
- Colour or monochrome is accepted.

Awards & Results
The Australian Cup awards and results will be released during an APS virtual award presentation to be held on 21 August 2025.
