Australian Photographic Prize – MCC Members’ results

This weekend saw the conclusion of the judging for the inaugural Australian Photographic Prize. This competition is designed to award both professional and amateur photographers. The print categories are open to both professionals and amateurs, the Nikon Digital Award section is open to amateur photographers only.

Congratulations to Lesley Bretherton for winning the Landscape category of the Nikon Digital Award with her image “Winter Flowers”. Congratulations also for Lesley’s finalist place for her second image “Birch and Copse #4”.

Congratulations must also go to Ruth Woodrow for being runner-up in the Creative Print category with her image “Melbourne in Isolation” and for her finalist place in the Reportage Print category with her image “Lockdown in Melbourne”. Ruth will be talking about these images on Thursday.

 

Sally Paterson had two semi-final entries in the Creative Print Category

 

Paul Dodd had two semi-final entries (above) in the Creative Print Category. Additionally, Paul also had a semi-final and a commended video in the Village Cinematic Award.

 

 

Andy Railton had three of his tableaux images achieving semi-final results in the Creative Print category. Two of his images are shown above.

 

 

 

Des Crossley had four commended entries in the Creative Print category (See above).

 

 

Richard Faris had five images (above) in the Landscape and Creative categories of the Nikon Digital Awards
