During last year I had lost motivation to take any images. So this year I accepted a photographic challenge of ‘taking one photograph everyday!’ It’s called the ‘Project 365’: the challenge was to capture one 35mm film image per day for 365 days beginning on the 1st of January 2021 with ‘One Camera’, ‘One Lens’ (Prime or Zoom) and ‘One type of film’ and images taken needed to be shared online through the Facebook Group ‘Project 365’ and on a personal instagram account @santinavelo, which I’m currently doing. I chose my Minolta 303b with its 50mm 1.4 MC Rokkor lens (which has been in the family since 1976). I have taken my camera everywhere with me and have captured what has caught my eye, taken my interest and looks beautiful to me. These images in this exhibition reflect my love of capturing repetition, shapes, curves and old things in the world around me, My goal was also, to make few silver gelatin prints each month of my favourite images. So far, it’s been challenging, but a lot of fun. |
