What is Conceptual Photography?

Come along to our first meeting of 2024 and join the discussion on this topic – ask questions, propose answers, or just enjoy the interactions.

Man Ray said,  “I would photograph an idea rather than an object, a dream rather than an idea.”  That may give you a hint.

Objectives of the Conceptual Photography Group

The monthly meetings will:

• • Entertain and inform
  • Engage both old hands and newbies – no former exposure (pun intended) is needed
  • Provide a friendly forum for discussing each others’ work in progress
  • Involve invited guests – photographers and critics – to contribute to the experience
  • Encourage you (if you are willing) to enter the end-of-year Conceptual Exhibition

Meetings

The Conceptual Photography Group will meet on the third Wednesday of each month from February to November at 7.30 pm in the MCC Clubrooms (upstairs gallery).  All members of MCC are more than welcome, and you are encouraged to invite non-members for a free sample!
