About the Melbourne Camera Club

The Melbourne Camera Club is a not-for-profit organisation run by and for photography enthusiasts.  It is the largest photography club in Victoria and prides itself on being able to provide its members with a diverse range of services.

The Club is a friendly and welcoming environment and aims to assist and encourage individuals in their creative pursuits.  A wealth of knowledge is on hand in the form of members, and workshops and presentations by specialists are included in the yearly program.

If interested in a particular field (or particular fields) of photography, members can attend the meetings of various interest groups.

The Portrait Group, the Analogue Photography Group, the Audio Visual Group, the Photographic Lighting Group, the Photo Discussion Group, Nature Photography, Photowalk Community and the Digital Group all meet regularly and are very welcoming of new attendees.

Members also enjoy participation in monthly Print and Projected Digital Image (PDI) competitions, access to a fully-equipped darkroom, a print finishing area and a studio with lighting, and the use of the Club’s library.

Members also receive a weekly e-newsletter and the Club’s quarterly magazine, Exposure.

Visitors are welcome to attend meetings and Club events – check out our program and come to an event that interests you!  Meetings start at 8pm unless otherwise advertised and takes place at the Club rooms in South Melbourne.

We look forward to meeting you!

Do check us out – visitors are most welcome
