The workshop will focus on ways in which we can utilise natural ingredients in processing film and paper. Participants will brew up various soups that will partly replace conventional chemicals. These will then be applied in the darkroom and allow participants to evaluate the value of natural ingredients in their photography practice. |

In this workshop, participants will bring an exposed roll of B&W film (Preferably low ISO film from major brands, such as Ilford or Kodak 50-100 ISO film). During the workshop each participant will develop their film with a special process that results in B&W transparencies (i.e. B&W slides). |

Morganna Magee is a photographer and educator working on the unceded land of the Bunurong/Boonwurrung people of the Kulin Nations. Her photographic practice examines human relationships with the natural world through innovative applications of traditional techniques.
In 2022 she published her debut monograph “Extraordinary Experiences” with Tall Poppy Press. The book was nominated for Australian Photobook of the Year, and was listed as one of the photobooks of 2022 by both Gabriela Cendoya and Robin Titchner.
