Barbara Butler, who preferred to be called Barb, died on Wednesday 28th August 2024 a week after her 80th birthday.
Barb was a member of Melbourne Camera Club for many years and contributed her experience and wisdom to the Audio Visual Group during that time. Barb suffered from rheumatoid arthritis and those stairs finally stopped her activity at the club. Her recent years had been ones of increasing pain and immobilisation.
She was an internationally awarded AV maker and continued organising international competition judging with a group of friends until last year.
Barb was a warm, caring person and was much loved by those of us who knew her. We remember her generosity and sense of humour; there was always a smile.
