2024 Analogue exhibition

2024 Analogue Photography Exhibition

Entries are now open

Entries for the 2024 Annual Analogue Photographic Exhibition are now open.

There is no theme but we are working under the title Hand Made. We want to emphasise that our work is all hand made with minimum technology.

You can see all the details about entries here. You can download an entry form here.

Just a quick overview

You don”t have to be a master printmaker to enter.

Show us your experimental work. All analogue processes accepted. Work in progress is valid. Just explain your thinking in the description.

As an example in 2023 Adelaide Bernard had just completed her darkroom course and produced a print she was happy with. She entered the single image in the exhibition.

If you are unsure about your images just send them to me and we can chat about it.

The rule is it must start and end as an analogue image.

You can enter up to four images.

The mat board (available for purchase in the Annex) should be cut to 410x505mm. You can exhibit anything you can fit in that size. In the past we have had multiple images in the frame. We have had small pinhole camera images. Small images can look very impressive in those frames.

All frames are supplied. You just need to do the print, mount it (there is a mounting press in the Annex), cut the mat and put it in the frame.

You need to fill in the entry forms and return them by July 19. If you haven’t finished printing the image you can scan the neg and send that with your entry. We are working on having a digital camera and copy stand set up in the Annex for you to scan.

Prints have to be mounted and ready for matting and framing on the 24th August. We will finish framing and then hang on the 25th August.

How you can help.

We are looking for quotes from people who exhibited last year to use in promos up to July 19 to encourage others to enter.

We also need working images. Shooting, loading film, processing, printing, negs, proof sheets. We will use them as part of the promotion to members and the general public.

You can upload them here
