The last outing of the nature group will be to Pound Bend Reserve in Warrandyte which is a good place to photograph birds and insects. Some might also like the river scenes.
For those who want to photograph birds, the recommendation is getting there at 9am. For others, the meeting time will be the usual 10am. Both groups should meet at the north end of the car park.
Directions – Very near where Everard Rd meets Pound Bend Rd, you will find the entrance to the Reserve. Head down the hill and turn right at the bottom. Drive past the toilets which should be on your right and keep going to last car park for meeting point. (There are other bays if this is full).
Please bring with you a hat, sunscreen and mosquito repellent and good shoes (there could be snakes around). Also bring with you a chair and something to share with others at lunch to celebrate our breakup for the year.
