Thank you for entering the 25th Analogue Annual Exhibition.
This entry form is used to produce the Exhibition catalogue. See here https://melbournecameraclub.
There are some basic rules.
- Entries must begin and end as analogue.
- The final work can be silver gelatine or any alternative process.
- You can enter up to four images.
- You must designate your hero image to be featured on the first page of your catalogue entry. Then enter the other images in order of preference. This will allow the organiser to reduce the image selection to three if we get more entries than the gallery will accommodate.
Images
- Maximum dimensions are 3840 x 2160px /
- Maximum file size 5MB.
- Please save images as monochrome JPEG files.
- Note the system only recognises landscape images. If you have portrait images please rotate them to landscape before uploading. The organisers will return the image to portrait when preparing the catalogue.
- You can use the copy camera in the annex to shoot your negs.
Artist statement
Every image must have an Artist Statement. This can be up to 150 words for the Hero image, and up to 30 words for the other entries.
Example of a hero image title and statement, max 150 words:
Kangaroo Paw and web #1
The role of spiders and their webs, I find fascinating. The natural juxtapositioning of a dried flower against the often rambling web of some unknown spider has a visual rhythm that is hard to artificially create.
In attempting to capture this, I must bring the plants in as objects of interest and this gives me is the forms of plants when shot in black and white. Colour would impede the visualisation.
Example of title and statement for normal entry images, max 30 words:
Footprints
This image shows the mish-mash of footprints created by surfers going down to the water. I found it worth shooting because it gives a natural texture to the sand.
To make the process smoother write your artist statements and verify the word count before opening the entry form.
