SUMMARY:CCC/MCC Mid-week Outing Group
DESCRIPTION:This seems to be the season of photographic exhibitions!  This one is particularly spectacular and exciting. \n\nIt is called ‘Civilization – The Way we Live now’.  \n\nIt is mounted and curated by the international Foundation for the Exhibition of Photography\, an organization based in New York\, Paris and Seoul. The NGV is a member. \n\nThe exhibition includes over 100 images that show the complexity of life in today’s urbanized world. I have the catalogue\, and there are many stunning images in it.  \n\nIt is at the NGV Federation Square. Entry is $18 for adults and $16 for seniors.  We plan to meet at Federation Square in the café opposite the entrance to the NGV entrance at 10.30am.\n\nAll of you are welcome!\n\nJoe Hajdu\n\nClick here for further details about the Mid-week Outing Group

DESCRIPTION:Note: This excursion is on the 4th Tuesday\, and not the normal 3rd Tuesday. \nThe William and Winifred Bowness Photography Prize is the most prestigious photography prize in Australia\, and is a showcase of contemporary Australian photographic talent. \nThe theme for this year is Australia as a multicultural society\, and as a quirky and extraordinary place. \nThe 58 shortlisted images will be on display at the Monash Gallery of Art (Cnr. DESCRIPTION:Spring is the best time to visit the Botanical Gardens (South Yarra). Trees are budding\, and many flowers are already out.  \nVery good for macro-photography.  \nWe will meet at 10.30am in the Observatory Café in the building with the Information Centre\, just off Birdwood Avenue opposite the Shrine.  \nI will give everybody a detailed map of the  Gardens\, and we can then set-off and photograph whatever strikes our fancy.  \nLunch will be at the Terrace Café.  You are all most welcome to join us. \nJoe Hajdu \n  \n
