DESCRIPTION:For the November meeting\, I had hoped to tailor the meeting to address specific issues raised by the members\, or even to edit some of your photos. To date there have been no responses to my email of 24 October so here is what we will be doing: \n\nAdobe have released their latest versions of Lightroom and Photoshop which include some really exciting updates to masking selections using AI. We will have a look at a couple of videos covering these changes.\nDo you shoot portraits and would like to retouch the skin but have looked at Youtube videos of frequency separation and just found that all too hard\, well Scott Kelby has produced a series of videos on simple retouching techniques so we will have a look at some of those. Bring a notepad so you can remember these simple tips.\nFinally we will have a look at start to finish editing. DESCRIPTION:For the October meeting we have the following organised: \nFor those new to Lightroom\, demystifying some of the tools you will use; \nIntermediate: How to combine exposure bracketing and focus stacking to generate a single image (Lightroom and Photoshop); and \nAdvanced photoshop: What is “Blend if” and how is it used. \nFinally if time permits\, we can look at start to finish processing by the professionals. \n  \n  \nDigital Editing group meets on the Third Monday of the month from February to November.  The aim of the group is to help the members of the group to improve our ability to edit images digitally regardless of the end requirement – be it for Print Comp\, PDI Comp\, AV\, slideshows\, books or any other use. \nMost meetings with be broken into topics suitable for beginners\, intermediate or advanced users. \nThere is a range of software available but our focus will be on Adobe Lightroom Classic and Photoshop. \nWe also happy to look at processing issues you might have – email your image to digital.editing@melbournecameraclub.org.au a few days before an upcoming meeting. \n

SUMMARY:Digital Editing Group - Guest Speaker: Ian van der Wolde (Virtual Meeting)
DESCRIPTION:Our speaker series continues with Ian van der Wolde discussing his personal work and his approach to processing\, in particular his black and white workflow. Ian judged our PDI competition in early October. For those of you who tuned into that presentation\, you will know that he offered insightful comments on all of the images. If you stayed around for his post judging presentation\, you will also know that he has a wonderful portfolio of personal work that is in a totally different realm to his commercial work.\n \nBio:\nAn Accredited Professional Photographer\, Life Member\, Master of Photography IV\, Honorary Fellow and Fellow of the AIPP\, Ian has in recent decades accumulated numerous industry awards and titles. \nIan has been awarded the AIPP Victorian Landscape Photographer of the Year title twice\, 2012 & 2017. He also took out the AIPP Victorian Illustrative Photographer of the Year in 2012 giving him 2 category wins that year. \nZoom meeting details will be emailed to MCC Members in advance of this event. \n  \n  \n
