DESCRIPTION:For the last Portrait Group meeting of the year we will (weather permitting) have an outdoor shoot making use of natural light (while it is about) and portable flash (after the Sun goes down). \nWe will have a number of models (we invite all the models who have been at Portrait Group this year\, but won’t know until shortly before the day how many will come along). \nAn excellent chance to practice portrait photography skills and grow your portfolio\, the meeting is a practical photography session.so there will be ample opportunity to shoot. \nOpen to all MCC members (and visitors may attend up to 2 sessions). \nIf you want to shoot\, please bring: \n\nyour camera (with a standard hot shoe on top for the flash trigger)\n$10 for a shooters licence.\n\nNote that we will meet at 6pm to get more use of natural light. DESCRIPTION:As our vaccination rate climbs and restrictions ease we are able to organise a shoot – but as it not yet clear that we will be able to get in to the club building until mid to late November\, we are organising an outdoor shoot for November. We have discussed this with the Board\, and there will be a number of additional rules to protect both attendees and the club. \nPlease note that the date has been pushed back to 8 November 2021 (the second Monday). \nThe additional rules are: \n\nUnlike other outdoor shoots this one will have Shooters Licences\, at a cost of $10\, please bring a $10 note.\nWe will be limited to 20 shooters.\nAll participants (photographers\, coordinators\, models and hangers on) must have received both COVID-19 vaccination shots.\nAll participants are to check in with the Covid Marshall (DavidP) and show evidence of their double vaccinated status (Service Victoria app\, Medicare app\, digital wallet or official paper certificate).\nAll participants must complete our paper register with name\, phone number\, vaccination status and signature.\nOnce registered you will be issued a sticker to wear on your clothes – this must be visible for the duration of the shoot. No sticker = no shooting.\nAll participants to be masked at all times\, except for models being photographed.\nIf you feel unwell\, you are not to attend. SUMMARY:Portrait Group Annual Outdoor Shoot
DESCRIPTION:Well\, after a very trying year\, we finally roll around to December and find that we are in a position where we can hold our Portrait Group Annual Outdoor Shoot! As usual\, we will meet up at 6pm\, then shoot by natural light as long as we can. We may continue shooting by flash if the models are willing to go on (and someone brings flashes). \nAs I said\, a difficult year\, and we are not 100% through the pandemic\, which has affected how we run this event. For example\, we can’t revert back to the studio if weather is bad\, and we need a COVID-safe plan. \nMEETING TIME: Monday 7 December 2020 at 18:00 \nMEETING LOCATION: At 800 Collins St\, Docklands\, VIC\, 3008 (Myer HQ) – https://goo.gl/maps/MdGRWp78pYTfaSd36 \n \nFrom this location we can hopefully make use of the nearby community gardens and move down towards the water and Webb Bridge if the weather is good\, or shoot under awnings along Collins St if the weather is poor. And afterwards – there are some nice pubs on the South side. \nCOST: $10 – I know we don’t usually charge for the outdoor shoot\, but we will have some extra expenses running it this year.
