SUMMARY:Portrait Group Annual Outdoor Shoot
DESCRIPTION:Well\, after a very trying year\, we finally roll around to December and find that we are in a position where we can hold our Portrait Group Annual Outdoor Shoot! As usual\, we will meet up at 6pm\, then shoot by natural light as long as we can. We may continue shooting by flash if the models are willing to go on (and someone brings flashes). \nAs I said\, a difficult year\, and we are not 100% through the pandemic\, which has affected how we run this event. For example\, we can’t revert back to the studio if weather is bad\, and we need a COVID-safe plan. \nMEETING TIME: Monday 7 December 2020 at 18:00 \nMEETING LOCATION: At 800 Collins St\, Docklands\, VIC\, 3008 (Myer HQ) – https://goo.gl/maps/MdGRWp78pYTfaSd36 \n \nFrom this location we can hopefully make use of the nearby community gardens and move down towards the water and Webb Bridge if the weather is good\, or shoot under awnings along Collins St if the weather is poor. And afterwards – there are some nice pubs on the South side. \nCOST: $10 – I know we don’t usually charge for the outdoor shoot\, but we will have some extra expenses running it this year. Please bring a $10 note! \nCOVID RESTRICTIONS: \n\nEvent is limited to 30 attendees (not counting coordinators or models)\nContact details of all attendees to be recorded by coordinators\nMasks are to be worn (except by models when being shot)\nHand sanitiser will be made available\, its use is encouraged\nSocial distancing (1.5 metres) to be maintained where possible\n\nI realise these restrictions are probably stricter than mandated by DHHS\, but Portrait Group (and MCC in general) are taking a cautious approach given the demographic of our members. \nI’m looking forward to seeing the group face-to-face again!

DESCRIPTION:With the recent easing of Government restrictions for outdoor gatherings – MCC photowalks are back for a final outing for 2020! \nJoin us for our December photowalk\, we will be visiting the city to wander the streets and check out some of the Christmas displays. \nThe meeting location is outside the Old Treasury Building\, cnr Spring/Collins Sts. You might like to take a walk in the Treasury Gardens before meeting. Note that the Museum in the Old Treasury Building is closed during weekends. \nWe will walk along Collins St where you can visit some of the laneways and street art\, Federation Square Christmas displays\, the latest photography exhibition at Leica gallery\, then the Christmas displays and Myer windows in Bourke St Mall. \nFollowing the walk\, we will have an optional early dinner/drinks at Southbank. Note that dinner numbers may be limited due to restaurant capacity – please register your interest to join the dinner\, email: photowalks@melbournecameraclub.org.au \nAfter the dinner you may like to check out some of the City of Melbourne Christmas projections around the city\, 9pm-11pm – State Library\, Melbourne Town Hall and Princes Bridge. \nWe welcome all photographers – bring along your favourite camera: digital\, film\, phone\, Polaroid etc. \nAll visitors\, friends and members of the Melbourne Camera Club are welcome. \nAll attendees must follow government guidelines regarding mask wearing and social distancing.
