DESCRIPTION:This is the monthly meeting of the Portrait Group – first Monday of each month. An excellent chance to practice portrait photography skills\, learn about studio lighting and grow your portfolio. \nThe meeting is a practical photography session. We use flash lighting in a studio setting. We will have 2 sets operating and 2-3 models\, so there will be ample opportunity to shoot. \nOpen to all MCC members (and visitors may attend up to 2 sessions). \nIf you want to shoot\, please bring: \n\nyour camera (with a standard hot shoe on top for the flash trigger)\n$10 for a shooters licence.\n\nPlease come along at 7pm to help set up. We start shooting at 8pm\, and stop when the models say they’ve had enough (typically 2-3 hours). \nPlease remember that after the shoot you are required to send some photos back for the models. DESCRIPTION:This is the monthly meeting of the Portrait Group – first Monday of each month. An excellent chance to practice portrait photography skills\, learn about studio lighting and grow your portfolio. \nThe meeting is a practical photography session. We use flash lighting in a studio setting. We will have 2 sets operating and 2-3 models\, so there will be ample opportunity to shoot. \nOpen to all MCC members (and visitors may attend up to 2 sessions). \nIf you want to shoot\, please bring: \n\nyour camera (with a standard hot shoe on top for the flash trigger)\n$10 for a shooters licence.\n\nPlease come along at 7pm to help set up. We start shooting at 8pm\, and stop when the models say they’ve had enough (typically 2-3 hours). \nPlease remember that after the shoot you are required to send some photos back for the models. DESCRIPTION:Mastering Photography Filters with Expert Greg Thomas \nDo you\, like so many\, have a filter kit floating around in your camera bag that you don’t use because you don’t know why or how? \nOr have you always wanted to know how filters can enhance your photography before you purchase a set? \nThis hands-on workshop\, led by expert photographer and MCC Member Greg Thomas\, is designed to guide participants through the essential aspects of using photography filters to enhance their images creatively. \nGreg has arranged multiple sets of Haida Filter System’s generously supplied by Maxxum Pty Ltd for the use of participants in this workshop and offering a very generous MCC members only discount on any of their kits. \nThis workshop will take place in the beautifully restored Gatehouse on Princes Pier Port Melbourne for theory\, then out onto the pier to put your knowledge into practice. \nThe workshop will cover the fundamental concepts of purchasing\, selecting\, and using various photography filters.
