DESCRIPTION:Please Note\nUntil further notice Portrait Group shoots are being replaced with online Zoom Meetings. \nFor meeting details please make sure you are on the Portrait Group mailing list (email portrait@melbournecameraclub.org.au if you are not). \n\n  \nThis is the monthly meeting of the Portrait Group – first Monday of each month. An excellent chance to practice portrait photography skills and grow your portfolio. \nThe meeting is a practical photography session. We use flash lighting in a studio setting. We will have 2 sets operating and 2-3 models\, so there will be ample opportunity to shoot. \nOpen to all MCC members (and visitors may attend up to 2 sessions). If you want to shoot\, please bring your camera (with a standard hot shoe on top for the flash trigger) and $10 for a shooters licence. \nPlease come along at 7pm to help set up. We start shooting at 8pm\, and stop when the models say they’ve had enough (typically 2-3 hours). \nPlease remember that after the shoot you are required to send some photos back for the models.

DESCRIPTION:Group show and tell (10-15 minutes) where we can show an image or two and talk about how the photographer achieved it using flash or controlling available light. \n\n\n\n\nTonight we will be experimenting with shaping light using modifiers and introducing gobo’s. Multiple light sources. \n\n\n\n\nThis is a practical session so please bring your camera and speedlight and any (small) light modifiers if you have them. This will mostly be an off camera flash session although we can look at some limited shaping done with on camera flash.
