DESCRIPTION:All MCC members are welcome to attend the VAPS Convention – tickets and full program will be released mid-February with registrations opening 1 March.\n \nhttps://www.vaps.org.au/\n \n2026 CONVENTION\n \nNext year’s Convention and Exhibition of the Interclub Competition entries will be at Tatalia Function Centre\, Rich River Golf Club\, Moama over the weekend 29th to 31st May.\n \nPlease put in your diary and on your club’s calendar. Perhaps\, make it one of your club’s outings/ weekends away.\n \nThe historic Port of Echuca is just 10 minutes away and there are many other photographic opportunities in the area.\n \nAlso\, plenty of accommodation on site and in the general area.\n \nDetails of presenters etc will be advised as they come to hand and the full program will be released mid-February with registrations opening 1 March.\n \nLooking forward to seeing you at this event\, our 72nd.\n \nJoseph Maher – Convention Coordinator\nconvention@vaps.org.au

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a relaxed Nature Group outing on Sunday 31st May 2026 at  Grants Picnic Ground Sherbrooke\,  set in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges. This time of year is ideal for fungi\, so macro enthusiasts should find plenty to work with amongst  the forest floor\, bring your macro setups\, a matt to sit on and and be ready to explore and cross fingers for more rain.  \n\nThe area is also excellent for bird photography\, with species such as the Superb Lyrebirds (fingers crossed for a sighting)\, Crimson Rosella’s\, Eastern Yellow Robins\, King Parrots are commonly seen in the area\, a Red-Brow treecreeper and Lewins Honeyeater have also been just recently spotted\,  \n\n\nRemember to bring\n\n\nSturdy footwear due to potentially damp and uneven terrain\nChair for lunch \nWater\n\n\n  \n  \nhttps://maps.app.goo.gl/SBbjtHRoUJXUndtb9 \n
