DESCRIPTION:So proud to bring Tobias Titz to the Melbourne Camera Club . \nDon’t miss this opportunity to meet this inspirational man and hear his stories of his amazing experiences. \n \nTobias is a multi-award winning Photographer based in Melbourne and has worked the last 10 years for a respectable range of national and international magazines and commercial clients. \nHe is very passionate about all aspects of people and portrait photography and takes on long distance travelling to the remote Australian outback for his projects. \nHe has exhibited his work extensively in Australia\, Germany and\nthe US.\nTobias has worked with indigenous communities in the Pilbara\, the\nKimberly\, the Western Desert\, Arnhem Land\, the Tiwi Islands\,\nSouth and Central Australia for over 15 years and photographic\nwork from these interactions is held in the Museum of Australian\nDemocracy\, the National Library\, Canberra and the Southeast\nMuseum of Photography\, Florida\,USA.\nIn the award winning Polaroid Project participants are invited to\netch their message in the wet emulsion of the large format Polaroid\nnegative.\nHis photographs are also included in the Polaroid Collection\, USA\,\nthe National Library of Australia\, the Moran Foundation\, Australia\nand numerous private collections in Australia\, Europe and the\nUSA.\nTobias won the HeadOn Photography Prize 2008\, the Doug Moran\nContemporary Photography Prize 2012\, the Art Handler Award at\nthe National Photographic Portrait Prize 2017 and the People’s\nChoice Award at the Martin Kantor Portrait Prize 2023.\nTobias lectures Photography at Monash University.\nwww.tobiastitz.de
