DESCRIPTION:   \nBy day Alex is a Research Scientist at The Alfred Hospital\, during his “spare” time he is a world-class Sports Photographer. He started by photographing his daughter at school gymnastics events\, but as she improved\, he started accompanying her around the state\, the country and the world taking photographs of the events. Now\, not only does he photograph his daughter at sports events\, he travels to events all over the world taking photographs. \n“I am a freelance photographer\, affiliated with a boutique International Photo Agency\, SOPA Images\, based in HK. 3 times finalist of #WISPAA (Women in Sports Photo Action Awards) awards. And winner of Travel Photography award in 2017. \nI also contribute to Getty\, Alamy and Shutterstock\, specialising in Editorial Images – mainly sports photography as well as some photojournalism.\nContributed to “The Women’s Game” magazine (Inside Sport) still contributing to Unification newspaper and sometimes Australian Jewish News. \n\n\nMy images from 2018 season were compiled in the book “Great Aussie Sports: Netball” by David Rafferty\n \nIn 2019 travelled to Azerbaijan as an Australian National Team official photographer to Gymnastics World Championships.\n\n \nMy work is published in The Guardian\, WSJ\, Daily Mail\, a number of International Sports media (including ESPN). \n \nMost recent event I covered was The World Games in Birmingham\, Alabama.”\n\nhttps://alexbogatyrev.passgallery.com/\nPlease join us in person at the Clubrooms or on Zoom for this event. \nZoom details will be emailed to members a couple of days before the event. \n
