Melbourne Camera Club

Hi ,

We welcome MCC members and friends to the September photowalk.

We will be spending a day out at the Ballarat International Foto Biennale – note that this photowalk is being held on a Saturday, and not our regular Sunday outing.

The Ballarat International Foto Biennale was founded in 2005, the Ballarat International Foto Biennale is Australia’s most significant and prestigious photographic festival. The not-for-profit event is held in the historic town of Ballarat, immersing the city in photographic art across its galleries, laneways and cultural spaces. Now in its 19th year, the 60-day event attracts incredible international and Australian photographers, enriching the cultural landscape of regional Victoria every two years.

FESTIVAL TICKETS: Purchase a Festival Pass which includes entry to the Core Program exhibitions throughout central Ballarat (no cost to view the Open Program exhibitions). Tickets also available in person from Festival Hub, at the Mining Exchange, 12 Lydiard Street North, open 9:30am-5pm.

FESTIVAL GUIDE: View online here, or download a PDF from the Ticket page. Printed version: $5, available from Festival Hub shop at the Mining Exchange (12 Lydiard St North).

As well as visiting some of the Core and Open Program exhibitions, we are hoping to view some of the MCC Members exhibitions, including:

We are planning to catch the V/Line train from Southern Cross Station – although for those who wish to drive, you can meet the main group on arrival at Ballarat Railway Station. We will spend the day checking out some of the photography exhibitions in Ballarat and there will be plenty of photography opportunities around town while walking between the exhibitions.

All MCC events require all attendees to check in using MCC QR code for club insurance records. If you are unwell at all, please stay home. Please see the Photowalk Coordinators on arrival to register.
